Pickleball ATP
In pickleball, ATP stands for "Around The Post." It refers to a shot where a player hits the ball around the net post, rather than over the net, to land it in the opponent's court.
This shot is legal as long as the ball lands within the boundaries of the opponent’s court. ATP shots usually happen when an opponent hits a wide shot, giving the player an angle to return the ball around the net rather than trying to hit it back over. It’s a high-level shot that requires precision and good court awareness. Also, it's considered a creative and unexpected shot that can catch opponents off guard, especially when executed with precision.
